Did you know that Billionaire Richard Branson literally learned how to create and run an airline in only 4 MONTHS?! That’s right, 4 months.
How many people would have never even tried such a crazy thing? Answer: 99.9% of the population. Maybe that is why there are far more low income people than billionaires.
What can this mean to you?
Ask yourself this: If Richard Branson can learn the airline business in 4 months, what can I achieve in 2009? DON’T PUT LIMITS ON YOURSELF. Get rid of the blinders, self doubt, negative thoughts about the economy, and all of that CRAP.
Challenge yourself to accomplish things in 2009 that you think are impossible. The next step is finding a way to make the impossible, possible. When you learn how to do that, you become much more valuable in every aspect of your life.
One of my goals for 2009 is to create 10 new millionaires in the world. It won’t be easy. I could have set a goal to create just 2 or 3 and that would have been great, but I want to strive for what I think is close to impossible.
Once I create 10 new millionaires in this crazy economy, there won’t be anything that I cannot do.
Remember, make the impossible, POSSIBLE! Â

That is a very interesting story, even if there is likely an element of legend/hype, the lesson is easy to follow. We can do what we set our minds to do in the time we choose to set to do it in.

Paul,
I think we might be kindred spirits. I’m in the Middle of reading Losing my Virginity–Branson’s autobiography.
Have you read it? He tells a great story for how he decided to start the airline company. It’s hilarious.
1. He got a proposal to invest in a start up airline.
2. He got excited about it.
3. He thought out the risks (on his own with no market research.) He decided he would do it, if he could lease a jumbo jet from Boeing for 1 year and have an “out.”
4. He called a competitor. He couldn’t get them on the line, and decided they must not be very good.
5. He called Boeing and discovered he could lease a plane for one year.
6. He decided to start the airline. His partners at Virgin were irate when he told them.
7. He called up the former founder of a failed British airline to learn the business on his house boat and decide what the business model for his airline would be.
(All of this happened in under 1 month)
I posted a couple of highlights from the first half of the book on my blog:

Elliot, Yep, I have read that book. I also highly recommend his newest book “Business Stripped Bare”. It really is amazing what he has accomplished and how he has gone about it. Lots of great business tips in both of those books!
He is a nice guy as well. I took a look at your blog and you did a great job of highlighting some of the great stuff!
HI Paul
We carrying out research on a start up business that I am pursuing when I “googled” across this page.
So my challenge is to learn the airline business within 4 months and take the lessons learnt from those around me on board to make it a success. A big part of being a success is of course being sure to have the right people around me.
So your challenge is to make 10 people a millionaire this year? Well I will put my hand up!! Saying a millionaire? Why not help start up an Airline service that becomes a success within 2009?
The opportunity exists within the industry to tap into strong Marketplace for a NICHE service provider.
